Why I’m RunnIng

I’m running for Wisconsin’s Court of Appeals, District 2 because for too long our freedoms have suffered. As a judge, I have sworn an oath to the Constitutions of the United States and of Wisconsin, as well as to the people of this State that I would honor the principles upon which our Nation was founded.

I am not beholden to any party or special interest group. My duty is to serve impartially and free of bias and to interpret the law as it is written. However, it is also my duty to make sure that the basic principles and freedoms enshrined in our Constitution will never be violated or infringed by the State or any person.

We need judges on the bench that issue decisions based upon precedent and principle, not upon activism or personal bias. I base my decisions on the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and our laws to ensure that the rights of citizens remain safe and secure. I am proud of my record as a circuit court judge, and I will carry that record with me to the Court of Appeals. Every day, I will devote myself to my judicial duty to uphold the law, honor and respect the principles of the United States, and humbly serve all in our community.
